River Dance
What made The River Dance so
popular? Was it the new exciting version of Irish dance or was it the man who
invited it? The River Dance was first performed at the 1994 Eurovision Song
contest. After it was performed the audience loved it and gave it a standing
ovation. They enjoyed it so much that later that year the BBC commissioned for
it to be performed again at the Royal Variety Show. After that the river dance
went through out Europe touring, getting more hype and more success. Then it
went into the untied states conquering even more popularity. The river dance is
one of the most popular dances and is know through out the entire world.
